Central Gauteng Athletics is excited to announce the launch of 2024 CGA Track and Field pre-season which is aimed at sub youth (primary school age groups). The season will officially commence on the 21st of September 2024 at Germiston Stadium.

The primary school age groups are development ages from 7 to 13 years old. Over the years we have had great athletics talent coming out of these development age groups. We are therefore calling on all clubs to send athletes in these age groups to come and complete.

The season will consist of 3 league meetings and provincial championships. These meetings will ensure that athletes have enough time to compete in order to prepare and qualify for the Inter Provincial Championships which will be hosted in Bloemfontein on the 07th of December 2024.

The Track and Field pre-season will also include the OR Tambo Social Cohesion Soncini Games as well as the Summer Series Challenge which is open to the athletes from the ages of 16 years to Senior.
