Central Gauteng Athletics will be officially launching the 2026 CGA Licensing season on Monday, 3 November 2025 with clubs requested to place orders for their 2026 Permanent Licenses on the online system. 

We expect to receive the 2026 Permanent Licenses towards the end of November 2025. We will update clubs accordingly as soon as the delivery date of the 2026 Permanent Licenses is confirmed. 

The 2026 Affiliation and Licensing fees are as follows:

1. Central Gauteng Athletics Membership Fees for 2026 

• 2026 Club Affiliation fees: 
  • Community clubs’ affiliation is R 550
  • Corporate/company clubs’ affiliation is R 2 500
  • Newly approved clubs will pay a once off fee of R 150 for community clubs and R 12 500 for company clubs.
    
    
• 2026 Permanent License Fees:  
  • Senior Permanent License – R 180 
  • Junior Permanent License- R 100

• Temporary License Fees for 2026:
  • Track and Field, Cross Country, Official 5km Road Race, and Mile races- R 30  
  • 10km- R60
  • 15km- R 60
  • 21km- R 70
  • 32km- R80
  • 42km- R 200
    

2. Ordering of 2026 Permanent Licenses

The preparations for the 2026 Licensing Season have started. As from Monday, 3 November 2025 clubs will be able to place their permanent license orders on the CGA online Athlete Registration System ( www.cgaonline.co.za). This system is aimed at making the licensing process as smooth as possible for both CGA administration and clubs.

We would like to thank the clubs that have embraced and registered on the CGA Athlete Registration system as the world is moving into the electronic revolution. As part of the athlete insurance, it is very critical that Athletes are registered on the system and athlete registration forms are uploaded (this is important for insurance purposes).

2026 Permanent License Order forms will be generated by the online system and then clubs must forward to Katlego Mabe at mabe@centralgautengathletics.co.za. 

3. 2026/2027 Coaches and Technical Officials Affiliation window 

Central Gauteng Athletics Coaches and Technical Officials affiliation will be opening for the next 2 years of the 2026 and 2027 season on the 3 November 2025 and will close on 31 January 2026. The affiliation for coaches and technical officials is done every 2 years. Please ensure that your coaches and Technical Officials are affiliated for 2026- 2027 affiliation season. See the attached affiliation forms.

Both the above affiliations will include the affiliation card, golf shirt, Sun Hat, World Athletics Rule Book.

4. CGA New Membership Applications

Please find the below applications we have received who applied to form a club for this application season. The following applications were received by Central Gauteng Athletics:

• Cartrack Running Club- The club colours will be orange, yellow and black and the shorts will be black. The corporate club will be based in Rosebank. 
• Cornerstone Athletics Club– The club colours will be grey and blue and the short will be the same as the vest, The community club is based in Olievenhoutbosch.
• Cheetahs Athletics Club- The club colours will be red and white and navy blue, and the shorts will be the same vest colours. The community club is based at Lion Pride Lifestyle Estate in Fourways.
• Msawawa Athletics Club- The club colours will be gold, blue, green and red and the short will be light green. The community club is based in Senaoane in Soweto.
• Hoeskool Riebeckrand Athletics Club-The club colours will be navy blue vest with white and orange stripes on the sides, with the official Riebeeckrand school emblem and the shorts will be navy blue. The community/ school club will be based in Randfontein.
• Fast Lane Athletics Club-The club colours will be navy blue, white and black shorts will be navy blue. The community club is based in Claremont Primary School.

Change of Club Name Application 

• Scaw Harriers Athletics Club has changed its name to SIMA Athletics Club- The club colours will be red, and navy blue with navy blue shorts. SIMA Athletics Club will be a community club based in Thokoza Gardens in Thokoza. 

Should any of the club colours clash with your club colours or object based on club demarcation, please send an objection to our office before 4 November 2025.

5. CGA Banking Details
