Central Gauteng Athletes has hosted 4 successful Cross Country Leagues which were Sam Ntuli Stadium, Dobsonville, Kwathema Sports Complex and the most recent one being at Chris Hani Sports Complex, Orange Farm. The next league event will be held Delta Park hosted by RAC Athletics Club on the 22 June 2019.

Athletes must run any 4 out of 8 league events plus the CGA Championships to be considered for selection to represent CGA at the SA Championship. The Central Gauteng Athletics Championships will be held on 17 August 2019 at Kagiso Sports Complex. 
Steven Khanyile, chairperson of Cross Country in an interview indicated that “the performance is really encouraging this year as we are looking at sending a very strong provincial team for the National Championships on 8 September 2019”.
With four more leagues remaining to complete this season, we are expecting to see action-filled events from now going forth.
