Central Gauteng Athletics will be hosting the Women’s-only Track and Field Meeting on Saturday, 5 February 2022 at Germiston Stadium.
This event is aimed at broadening the support towards women and young girls, most importantly to encourage women participation in Athletics. During the recent track and field season, we have picked up a drastic decline in women participation which may be as a result of a number of challenges women face on a daily basis. The days’ programme will include Talks by various former athletes to motivate the upcoming athletes to better understand the challenges and extend a helping hand to the upcoming young ladies in our sport.
All personal hygiene packs donated will be distributed to various beneficiaries within the province. The Hygiene Packs may include the following items:
- Sanitary Towels
- Face cloths
- Bath soap
- Tampons
- Body cream
- Roll-on Deodorant
- Deodorant
- Toothpaste
- Toothbrushes
We would appreciate it if you can share this information with your respective athletes and coaches.
Entries/registration will be closed on the 3 February 2022 at midnight or as we reach COVID-19 limited capacity. The entry fee for athletes is R20, and R50 for spectators. No temporary licenses will be sold at this event.
