Central Gauteng Athletics will be commencing the Cross Country season on 7 May 2022 at Sam Ntuli Stadium in Thokoza. Athletes are really looking forward to the 7-league season which will be concluded with the provincial championships on the 20 August 2022. We are expecting exceptional performances and great support from all the Cross Country athletes this season following the eased COVID-19 regulations and protocols.

The entry fee for athletes is R15, and R30 for spectators. No temporary licenses will be sold for the 2022 cross country season.

Entries are open, athletes can enter at the following link: https://cgacrosscountry.wixsite.com/home. Use the following steps below on how to enter.

How to Enter:

  1. Select ‘Entries’
  2. Select ‘League 1 – 07 May’
  3. Select ‘ENTER’
  4. Complete the form, and click ‘Submit’ when finished

For each league entries on the website will be active 10 days before the League is due to take place – i.e.: Entries will open on Wednesday, the week before the League, and close on Tuesday, 2 May 2022 at midnight.

Following the resolution taken at the last Cross Country Open meeting, the commission has endorsed that clubs can register 1 Club representative who will gain access to the venue free of charge for the purpose of looking after athletes, especially in the younger age categories. Clubs can register a club representative on the above entry and results website.
