Following the announcement by the State President, H.E Ramaphosa on Sunday, 27 June 2021 that the country will be moving to the adjusted alert level 4 lockdown from 28 June to 11 July 2021 as the country and Gauteng province is grappling with the 3rd wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our primary concern as Central Gauteng Athletics is the health and well-being of all runners and volunteers, race, event staff and host communities within CGA. Central Gauteng Athletics Cross Country Commission has therefore taken a decision to postpone the Cross Country league which was due to take place on 3 July 2021. We will communicate the updated cross country fixtures for the remaining leagues to members in due time.

We also urge and remind all members of CGA to abide and respect the restrictions and regulations which includes wearing a mask, sanitizing and keeping social distances at all times when in public spaces.
